The School of History, Archaeology and Religion wishes to appoint a full-time lecturer in Jewish History to cover a secondment. The appointee will contribute to the continued development of the School’s teaching and research in History. Applicants for the post should have a record or potential for excellence in research in any field of Jewish History) and a commitment to high-quality teaching at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. The appointee will be expected to teach modules on the History degree programmes and contribute to the life of the School, including administrative duties. You will join our lively and dynamic School which is internationally recognised for its research and teaching. With over 80 members of staff, the School has a wide chronological and geographical range. We wish both to build on our existing strengths and to expand research and teaching in Jewish History. The School of History, Archaeology and Religion is committed to promoting equality, diversity and inclusion, and was recently awarded an Athena SWAN bronze award. Career Pathway: Teaching & Research.
This is a full-time post (35 hours per week). The post is fixed term to 31 December 2025 with an anticipated start date of 1 January 2022.
Salary: £34,304 – £40,927 per annum (Grade 6).
