F. D. Maurice Chair in Moral & Social Theology (King’s College London)
King’s College London is delighted to advertise the FD Maurice Chair in Moral and Social Theology in the Department of Theology & Religious Studies (TRS). This highly prestigious post has a particular historical and contemporary significance for TRS and King’s, as it is designed to provide teaching and develop research in academic areas closely related to moral and social concerns and developments in the wider society. The post holder will contribute to teaching at all three levels – BA, MA, and PGR – as well as to the Department’s thriving research environment, in particular on the themes of religious and ethnic diversity, social equality and morality in politics. They will also develop collaborations on these themes with colleagues across the Faculty of Arts & Humanities and KCL more generally and show keen interest in engaging in public debates on moral and social issues. While deep interest and competence in Theology, broadly defined, is expected, applications from across disciplines of the Humanities and Social Sciences are welcome.
Close Date: 20 March 2020
