The Anglo-Israel Archaeological Society

ANNUAL TRAVEL GRANTS 2018

We have pleasure in announcing the 2018 call for applications to the small grants programme of the Anglo-Israel Archaeological Society. The AIAS is a small cultural and non-political charity, embracing all peoples and religions. Our mission is to make accessible the archaeology of Israel and the Levant in all periods and in its historical geographical, religious and intellectual context. We focus especially on supporting, promoting and raising awareness of recent research and discovery. Our grants are intended to assist students from the United Kingdom who wish to gain experience through a short period of practical participation in an archaeological project in Israel or through other appropriate activities. They normally serve to cover part or the whole of the cost of travel.

We offer the Nicholas Slope Memorial Award of up to £1000 and a limited number of smaller grants.

For further information and an application form, please see our website: www.aias.org.uk or contact the AIAS administrator, Sheila Ford: secretary@aias.org.uk.

The deadline for applications is 12 March, 2018.
