CALL FOR PAPERS – PHD/ECR SEMINAR SERIES
Calling all PGR/ECR BIAJS members! I am setting up a virtual seminar series for PhD and Early Career Researchers in Jewish Studies to present their research and am looking for speakers for the first three sessions. This is a valuable opportunity for you to present and receive feedback on your papers from an audience of other PhDs and ECRs. You might have never given a paper before, be preparing for a conference, or simply want to improve or develop your presentation skills – these sessions will allow you to do so in a friendly and relaxed environment. Presentations should be 20 minutes each, and there will be time for questions and discussion at the end. This will also be great way to meet and talk with other PGRs and ECRs and learn about each other’s research.
Sessions will be held online over Zoom. Details will be circulated closer to each session.
The first three seminars are scheduled for:
Thursday 1 May
Thursday 28 May
Thursday 26 June
All sessions will run from 17:30-18:30.
All papers related to the field of Jewish Studies are welcome, and all PhD and Early Career Researchers are welcome to attend the sessions! If you are interested in presenting on one of these dates, please send a short abstract (300 words max), along with a preference for which date you would like to present, to kerry.mccall@manchester.ac.uk by11th April.
