2022 Sherman Community Lecture
Rabba Dr Lindsey Taylor-Guthartz, ‘The Jewel in the Crown of Anglo-Jewry? A History of Limmud’
Rabba Dr Lindsey Taylor-Guthartz, author Challenge and Conformity: The Religious Lives of Orthodox Jewish Women (Littman, 2021), will present the 2022 Sherman Community Lecture on the topic, “The Jewel in the Crown of Anglo-Jewry? A History of Limmud”. Rabba Dr Taylor-Guthartz, until recently post-doctoral research fellow at the University of Manchester, has taught at the London School of Jewish Studies since 2005 and is founder of the Pop-Up Beit Midrash. The annual Sherman Community Lecture is hosted by Manchester’s Centre for Jewish Studies and the Jewish Representative Council of Greater Manchester.
