Research in Jewish Studies at the University of Edinburgh is located in the College of Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences. Clusters of academics working in a range of areas and disciplines related to Jewish Studies are situated in the School of Divinity (Religious Studies, Biblical Studies), the School of History, Classics, and Archaology, the School of Languages, Literatures and Cultures, the School of Social and Political Sciences. The Research Network in Jewish Studies brings together some 30 academics across the College of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences.

Teaching across the College ranges from Biblical Hebrew and the study of Biblical texts and history, to the twentieth century. There is a cluster of research and teaching in the ancient world, and in the twentieth century, notably on the study of the Holocaust and Jewish/non-Jewish relations.
